Most children dream of receiving special gifts during the holidays. But for children in protective care, life is so uncertain and full of change they can’t be sure of what the season will bring. However, each child with a Dallas CASA volunteer can be certain that their holiday dreams will come true because of our Holiday Gift Giving.

We invite you to join our Holiday Gift Giving by donating to help fulfill children’s holiday wishes. In 2024, contributors provided for more than 1,500 gift requests, and we anticipate needing a similar number for this coming season. Participants may choose to purchase gifts for a specific child, donate gift cards or donate funds online. Dallas CASA supervisors and volunteer advocates will use the donations to purchase gifts for the children or provide gift cards to the youth or their caregivers who will purchase gifts for them.

Thank you for helping to make the holidays a little happier for children in foster care.

To participate:

• Sign up to purchase gifts for a specific child by contacting our Donor Relations Manager here by October 1.
• Collect gift cards which will be used to purchase gifts for children and teens or allow the youth or caregiver to shop. We allocate a $50 minimum per child or teen. Please consider donating $25 or $50 gift cards from Walmart (most requested), Target, or Amazon. Please deliver the gift cards to Dallas CASA on weekdays, between November 17 and December 8, between 8:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
• Host a new toy drive for children who come into care during the holidays.
• Make an online donation of any amount designated for the “Holiday Gift Giving” through December 8. Donations made by check can be mailed or delivered to Dallas CASA, 2757 Swiss Ave, Dallas, TX 75204.
