"This is the one thing I’ve done where I can say I’ve truly made a difference. More often than not, you see something happen with the children that shows you how exhausted the system is and how crucial your presence is in each case."

~ Larry D., Dallas CASA volunteer since 1997

Why Give

Your donation will make a difference

Your donations to Dallas CASA support the recruitment, training and supervision of volunteers who serve our community’s abused and neglected children. The goal of Dallas CASA is to serve all children who come through the foster care system in Dallas County. Sadly, we currently are able to serve only 3 out of 4 of the children in protective care.

Dallas CASA has a strong and steady history demonstrating its ability to grow the number of children it serves. Over the last 10 years, Dallas CASA has increased the total number of children served annually by more than 205 percent. In 2017, Dallas CASA served 3,118 children. The program also recruited and trained a record 443 new volunteer advocates during the year, increasing it number of active CASA volunteer advocates to more than 1,300.

Your donation directly impacts the lives of abused children and helps ensure that they grow up in safe, permanent and loving homes.

  • It costs $2,030 per year to provide a CASA volunteer to help an abused child find a safe, permanent home.
  • It costs taxpayers more than $43,000 per year to provide child welfare services for an abused or neglected child in foster care.
  • Donor dollars are optimally leveraged because funds are used to train and support volunteers who provide services for the children through donated time.

Dallas CASA is a 501(c)(3) public charity. All donations are tax-deductible as allowed by law.
