Special Events Manager

The Special Events Manager is responsible for all aspects of Dallas CASA’s fundraising events such as the Champion of Children Award Dinner, Parade of Playhouses, Cherish the Children luncheon, and CASAblanca casino party. This includes planning, logistics, and budget oversight, as well as working with volunteers and development staff to secure underwriting and sponsorships. The manager serves as a resource for all special event activities of Dallas CASA’s auxiliary volunteer organization, including the membership meetings, the holiday gift drive event, and yearly event activities. The Manager also plans and implements events designed to cultivate and steward donors.

This position requires professionalism, event/fundraising/marketing or sales experience, and excellent computer skills, including fundraising software experience. She/he must have exceptional administrative, interpersonal, and organizational skills; and must be able to handle confidential information in a professional manner. Outstanding written and verbal communication skills are necessary, as is superior attention to detail. Knowledge of Raiser’s Edge and 3+ years of development experience in a nonprofit environment are strongly preferred.
