Dallas CASA friends and supporters, gathered beneath NorthPark Center’s iconic Ad Astra sculpture to thank the 2026 playhouse creators and celebrate the final weekend of the 31st annual Parade of Playhouses at The Closing Party. As guests enjoyed refreshments from Breadwinners, they reflected on another successful year of imaginative playhouse designs that delighted thousands of visitors while raising awareness for children living in foster care. Hosted by the Dallas CASA Board of Directors, the party honored our playhouse builders, architects and underwriters.

Generous corporations, organizations and individuals design, build and donate extraordinary children’s playhouses each year for the Dallas CASA Parade of Playhouses at NorthPark Center.  The annual event raises funds and awareness to help Dallas CASA provide more volunteer advocates to help abused children have safe, permanent homes where they can thrive.

The Dallas CASA Children’s Council annually hosts the Cherish the Children benefit luncheon. In 2026, Dallas CASA honored Sarah Losinger and Laura Losinger with the Caroline Rose Hunt Cherish the Children Award, which recognizes an individual or organization for outstanding contributions to helping children who have been removed from their homes due to abuse or neglect.

The Dallas CASA Young Professionals hosted its annual CASAblanca casino event on Friday, January 30, 2026 at The Adolphus. Named by CultureMap as one of the top spring events every philanthropic young professional in Dallas should attend, guests enjoyed a fabulous evening of casino games, dancing, cocktails, appetizers, prizes and lots of fun. The sold-out casino party included blackjack, craps and poker tables, and a roulette wheel, with winning prize drawings.

Dallas CASA honored Goldman Sachs with the prestigious Judge Barefoot Sanders Champion of Children Award on October 9 at The Fairmont Dallas. The award is given annually to recognize community leaders who significantly improve the lives of youth in our community, particularly those whose lives have been marked by abuse, neglect or other adversity.

The Dallas CASA Classic draws nearly 700 golfers every year from around the country to support the child victims of abuse and neglect served by Dallas CASA. In 2025, the tournament, hosted by AT&T, Energy Leaderboard and Goldman Sachs, raised more than $1.25 million to support Dallas County children living in the protective care of the state. The 2026 tournament will take place on October 5 at The Nelson Golf & Sports Club at The Ritz-Carlton Dallas, Las Colinas and Cowboys Golf Club.

Dallas CASA Children’s Council, founded in 2006, is the principal volunteer support group for Dallas CASA. The Children’s Council raises funds through special events and promotes community awareness about the needs of the children Dallas CASA serves and the transformational effect a loving, dedicated CASA volunteer advocate has on these children’s lives.

The Dallas CASA Young Professionals is a vibrant group of volunteers who serve as an outreach, volunteer and fundraising arm for Dallas CASA, while providing charitable and social opportunities for people ages 21 to 40 years. The Young Professionals encourages participation of any young professional in the Dallas area who wants to make an impact in the lives of abused children.

Dallas CASA honored the Dallas Mavericks with the prestigious Judge Barefoot Sanders Champion of Children Award on October 18 at The Fairmont Dallas. The Dallas Mavericks are a beloved part of the Dallas sports community, but they have also established themselves as much more than a basketball team. At the heart of the Dallas Mavericks’ mission is a commitment to making a difference in the lives of all North Texans.
