Dallas CASA wants to thank you for your support on North Texas Giving Day, but we thought Alaina and Natalie’s “Nana” might say it best:
Dear Dallas CASA:
From the start to the finish, our CASA volunteer Rebecca was there for Alaina and Natalie and me. This was one of the scariest periods in all our lives, but knowing Rebecca was there helped both the girls and me. She took the time to get to know me and Alaina and Natalie, and by the end of the case she felt like a member of our family.
Alaina and Natalie are in third and first grade this year and walk to the elementary two blocks from my house. I’ve stayed in touch with Rebecca and keep her updated on the progress of the girls. Every time I see those little girls asleep in bed or eating dinner at our little table or bringing home a piece of art from school, I’m grateful to Dallas CASA and Rebecca. We wouldn’t be a family without Rebecca.
Thank you, “Nana”
On North Texas Giving Day, Communities Foundation of Texas matches a percentage of every donation North Texans make to their favorite charities. For $1,910, Dallas CASA can provide training and supervision for one advocate to help abused children have safe and permanent homes. In 2015, Dallas CASA supporters donated more than $80,000 to Dallas CASA, helping us serve more of North Texas’ most vulnerable children with one constant, caring adult looking out for them.
Children like Alaina and Natalie need our help and protection, and your donations help make that possible.
