The Dallas County Disproportionality and Disparities Council (DCDDC) will host its first annual race equity conference and community resource fair on Friday, March 31, and Saturday, April 1. The theme of this inaugural two-day event is Journey Towards Race Equity: Rebounding from COVID.
Friday’s Conference, from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., will be live-streamed with free and unlimited virtual participation. Following Judge Clay Lewis Jenkins’ welcome, an impressive expert lineup will discuss race-related disparate impacts and emerging solutions in the areas of health, education, child welfare/juvenile justice, mental health, and economic opportunities. The closer of Friday’s conference will be inspiring speaker Cynt Marshall, the CEO of the Dallas Mavericks.
